Kingda Ka: It is the fastest and tallest roller coaster ride in the world. It reaches 128 mp/h in just 3.5 seconds. It goes vertical and rotates at 90*. The height is about 456 feet. Located in Six Flags Adventure in New Jersey, USA. It was unveiled in May 2005.

Top Thrill Dragster: The second fastest and second tallest Giga roller coaster ride in the world with a record of having the most roller coasters with about 17 roller coaster rides. Located in Cedar point, Sandusky, Ohio, United states. The trains can reach a speed of 120 miles per hour at 420 feet. It is also voted as “Best Amusement park in the World” for past eleven consecutive years by Amusement Today, a monthly periodical about amusement parks.

Dodonpa: It is the next fastest roller coaster ride located at Fuji-Q Highland,Yamanashi, Japan. It is about 52m tall and reaches the speed of 107 miles per hour in less than two seconds. This ride was opened on Dec 21, 2001 and was the fastet roller coaster in the world when built.

Superman: The Escape: Located in Six Flags Magic Mountain, Valencia, California. Opened on March 15, 1997. It has 16 roller coasters and 5 water rides and it can reach a maximum speed of 100 miles per hour. Uses Linear Synchronous Motors (LSM) technology for propelling the vehicles to top speeds. It also has the record of having the first 360* steel looping coaster. The area was given the name Six Flags Magic Mountain when sold to Six Flags.

Tower of Terror: It is another fastest steel roller coaster located at Dreamworld, Gold Coast, Australia. It was unveiled on Jan 23, 1997 and it too can reach a speed of 100 miles per hour in seven seconds. It is not considered a real roller coaster as it goes up the tower and and falls back and is therefore not included in some lists as fastest roller coaster ride. Also uses Linear Synchronous Motors (LSM) technology to propel the vehicles. The record as the fastest roller coaster ride just remained with this park just for 2 months.
